Faces in the Crowd: Maybe it’s time to CARE for a cat

October 30th, 2009, 6:38 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Samantha Gowen, Pet Tales editor

The Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort has some darling new additions to their roster of felines that need homes. If you’ve got room for one more, please give them a call.

The animals are part of Faces in the Crowd, a regular series here at Pet Tales that aims to connect pet lovers with new, four-legged family members.

Also, CARE will take part in the PetSmart “Holiday National Adoption Event,” Friday through Sunday, Nov. 13-15 at PetSmart in San Juan Capistrano.  Prospective “pet parents” are invited to visit the CARE adoption booth from noon to 4 p.m. all 3 days.

If you’re interested in adopting any of these cats, click on the image for more details, and be sure to contact CARE.

Each of the CARE’s cats has been spayed or neutered, tested for FELV/FIV, current on vaccines, wormed and micro-chipped.

About Faces in the Crowd:
This regular series at Pet Tales will highlight through photographs homeless pets in need. The goal is to share with our reading audience portraits from Orange County shelters and nonprofit rescue groups. Click here to read more about the series.

CARE will discount the price of a second cat/kitten, if someone adopts a pair. For more information, call (949) 240-1735, or visit www.capoanimalrescue.com. You can also contact CARE via e-mail.

For a “hands-on experience,” visit the cats and kittens in the Cattery at PetSmart, 33963 Doheny Park Rd., San Juan Capistrano.

Founded in 2000, CARE is a nonprofit charitable group that rescues, cares for and finds adoptive homes for abandoned cats and dogs from San Juan Capistrano. Since its founding, CARE has rescued and adopted nearly 1,200 pets.
