For anyone who has lived with a pet struggling to overcome or live with cancer, we’ve got a happy event for you.

The third annual  K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 in Long Beach. The 3K walk, sponsored by Veterinary Pet Insurance of Brea, raises money for the Animal Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization that strives to advance the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer in pets and people.

Registration between now and the event day is $30 per walker. Dog owners are encouraged to bring their well-behaved pups along for the walk. Leashes are mandatory!
