drs-foster-smithThe popular online pet supplier Drs. Foster and Smith is throwing shoppers a big ol’ bone: free shipping on health-care items only.*

The company also is offering a flat shipping rate for all other products.

The free shipping policy applies to a range of health-care products, from collars and leashes to supplements and vaccines. Drs. Foster and Smith is offering a flat ground shipping rate of $5.99 for all other products. Additional shipping charges apply for expedited and air shipments.

The new shipping policy is not considered a promotion and is expected to be in place for the relative long-term.

In addition to free and reduced shipping rates, the online retailer offers instructional videos for pet owners looking to save money by taking care of their pets at home. Video topics range from home vaccination to dental care to removing a tick.
