Pet poll: Tell us your favorite treats and toys

Soon we’ll debut some cool new items for pets this holiday shopping season. In the meantime, I want to know what toys, treats and accessories to which your pets give the proverbial “two paws up.”sams-sig1

Lately, my cats have been digging a $10 crinkle tunnel I stumbled on at Big Lots. I think it’s the best $10 I’ve spent on them in the toy category. They spend much of their waking hours lording over the precious, pink real estate.

What I like about our pink tunnel: it’s fairly rigid, thanks to coils of sturdy wire that prevent the cats from collapsing it with a solid leap mid-tunnel.  (The version seen here is sold via Amazon.com; click on it for details.)pet-treats

My dog, Katy, prefers tiny toys, which might seem a bit odd, because she weigh 107 pounds. Small, stuffed animals with squeakers makes her one happy mutt.

The dog’s special treats include dried, twisted bull pizzle (sorry, guys) and corn-free dog biscuits. (Note to readers: Never leave a dog alone with a chew toy as it could become a choke hazard.)

The cats have learned to run on cue for the “all natural” Temptations crunchy treats. I’m loathe to give the cats treats, actually, but they’re great for training and well, when I need some attention.

As I gear up to share some best-sellers and top picks for the holiday season, I’d like to hear from pet owners. Be sure to leave me your favorite pet toys or treats, and tell us why!
