Happy birthday to Katy, the fabulous “first dog” of Pet Tales.

Katy is a Great Lab or Labradane … a Great Dane-Labrador mix. She was adopted from a pet rescue group nearly six years ago when she was a tall, tubby puppy of 6 weeks. She arrived in my Orange home on New Year’s Day. It’s been a fun ride ever since.

They said she’d be petite, but boy were they wrong!

Katy’s a sweet dog but she tops 100 pounds, so when people see her coming, they generally get out of our way.
